Permits and right-of-way
The City of Loudon Codes Enforcement office issues all building permits; the Building Inspector and Codes Enforcement Officer is at 205 Alma Place, (865) 458-2033. Ask about any container placement in a city street. City Hall is at 2480 Highway 72 N.
City brush, leaf, and remodel debris pickup
The City picks up brush, rubbish, and bulky goods on a continuous basis without a call. Stack brush with the cut ends facing the street. The City will not pick up limbs or debris created by paid tree trimmers.
Loose leaves are vacuumed from behind the curb from October 15 to April 15; do not bag them or mix in limbs.
The City will collect owner-generated remodeling debris if the homeowner did the work, it can be loaded in 10 minutes or less, and it contains no shingles or liquids. Larger remodels, contractor work, and roofing debris need a dumpster.
